Marcia Nigro is the National Complex Claims Consultant and is a member of the National Liability Practice Team with Sedgwick Claims Management Services.

Additionally Marcia manages the Liability Technical Support Team for Sedgwick CMS.
She also is a core team member of the Sedgwick CMS' initiative on Medicare, Medicaid and SCHIP Extension Act - Section 111 Reporting (MMSEA) as well as a lead compliance coordinator for the Medicare Secondary Payer Act.

Marcia has 35 years of experience in claims management.
She joined Sedgwick CMS in 2001 as an Account Executive, overseeing the WC and Liability claim programs for several of our Fortune 500 Clients.
Prior to joining Sedgwick CMS as an Account Executive, Marcia was a Claims Manager with a major carrier overseeing the international exposures for their domestic clients.
Additionally, Marcia has extensive carrier experience working as a Team leader and claims supervisor.
She also held the position of Liability Specialist where she managed catastrophic claims; partnering with defense counsel to develop and execute defense strategies.
also was the carrier's lead negotiator in settlement conferences, mediations and trials.
Marcia has a bachelor's degree in history from University of Akron.
has both a CPCU
and AIC designation and holds Property and Casualty Insurance licenses for the states of Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maine, Delaware and Texas.
Currently, Marcia is working towards a Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist (CLCS) designation.
Additionally, Marcia has served on the Board of Directors of the Philadelphia Chapter of the CPCU Society.
