Atlanta's Tree Lady, Marcia Bansley, (IGEL Class VI) Retires as Executive Director of Trees Atlanta
Marcia Bansley, IGEL Class VI, has recently retired as Executive Director of Trees Atlanta. In the press release provided, Marcia received due credit for her position of the past 26 years as Atlanta's "Tree Lady", an unlikely urban forester with world credentials. Planning ahead in her career, she plans to undertake the formal study of architecture and the development of her growing, but largely invisible, practice as an international non-profit consultant and "Appleseed" advocate to the world. She will also continue to be involved with Trees Atlanta as an advocate and fundraiser.
