...Marc is a mining engineer with more than 18 years experience in underground and open pit mining operations in southern Africa.
Prior to South Africa, he
gained two years underground coal mining experience in Germany.Marc joined Snowden in September 1999 after having worked for De Beers Consolidated Mines for almost 12 years, both in the production and technical field.He
has first hand knowledge of massive mining methods as well as open pit mining methods.His
commodity experience ranges from coal, diamonds (primary, marine and alluvial deposits), heavy mineral sands, vanadium, iron ore, manganese, dimension stone, platinum group elements, gold, chrome, to copper and nickel.He
has been involved in and responsible for various feasibility studies with an emphasis on mine planning and mine design, optimisation, economic evaluation and property valuation.As project manager, Marc has been responsible for various independent due diligence reviews and technical audits dealing with new South and southern African mining projects, which required investment decision-making.Marc
has been managing the Snowden Africa office since September 2001.He is a registered mining engineer with Royal Dutch Society of Engineers.
