Prof / Dr Marc Gartenberg, Chairman and Dean
Prof / Dr Marc Gartenberg is the Founder, Chairman and Dean of the Global Strategic Cyber Studies Institute (GSCSI).
He brings vast funtional experienece from his tenure at The National Foreign Affairs Training Center, where he led a diverse team of curriulum developers to keep pace with the raipdly evolving software releases from maufacturers of end user office software to ensure that all emloyess had the neessary tools and undestanding to optimize performance and minimize the domestic learning curve.
was responsible for reducing the baslne cost for overseas training by developing a series of 10 mobile classrooms and bringing the training curriculum, along with the neessary hardware to the posts - resulting in about $40M USD cost savings.
He was afforded a Meritotious Achievment Award, and was slected to serve as aquisitions manager and training coordinator, leading the acquisition of building materials totalling well over $450M USD baseline funding.
was also responsible for putting the manpower contract together, holding meetings with vendors prior to pprocurments so as to gove them an idea of optimizing their technological construction, and played a role in standing up a classified conifguration management baseline enabling analyics and metrics to be captured as part of process improvement.
was recognized by the United States Department of State
with a Meritorious Achievement Award for his
role as Chief of Global Technology Training and in support of The Bureau of Information Resource Management's
numerous technology upgrades to embassies and consulates around the globe.
personally led the installation of the Classified Network at the American Embassy
in Beijing, and trained hundreds of Foreign Nationals in support of the State Department Unclassified Applications suite.
Marc served under the Presidential Administrations of Clinton, Bush and Obama, where he led the initiative and chartered the plan for training the entire Federal CyberSecurity workforce in accordance with the call for cyber-education - a component of the Bush and Obama Comprehensive National CyberSecurity Initiative (CNCI).
He holds two Masters of Computer Science Degrees, and was chosen for a Doctoral Fellowship jointly sponsored by the National Security Agency and National Science Foundations at the University of Tulsa and Syracuse University respectively, and is also a graduate of the CIO and CISO degree programs from the National Defense University Information Resources College and the Committee on National Security Systems.
