"A few moments with the Model 92s eliminated tens of hours of overtime," said Marc Drazin, Director of Engineering for WGN-TV and Superstation WGN.
Drazin recently used the Model 92 DT12s for the 2007 Chicago Auto Show at McCormick Place. Using two interconnected units in a Master-Slave mode (hooked up "in moments"), Drazin's team was able to thoroughly test thousands of feet of DT12 hung in the convention center.

Marc Drazin, an engineer with WGN-TV in Chicago, said by law the television stations will have to turn off their analog transmitter when required.
"There will be no signal in the area," he said.
Drazin said if consumers are aware of the transition date and are prepared, there should be no problems.
"If people bury their heads, then they're going to be disappointed when we turn off those analog transmitters," Drazin said.

Marc Drazin, director of Engineering at WGN-TV in Chicago, also stated that if his station's transmission site was destroyed, his top priority would be getting the analog signal back on air: The digital capabilities "...would take a back seat to our analog-which is where 99 percent of our audience sees us and where 100 percent of our revenue is currently obtained."
Like WBBM, WGN has an alternate location available. It has an ongoing relationship with a local UHF broadcaster which could allow it to use the UHF station as a backup site.It can also reach a significant portion of its market by feeding signals to cable."Signal delivery paths are already in place," noted Drazin."We feed some cable systems directly from the station and others from the transmitter. We're working to feed all cable systems directly from the station."WGN transmits its analog signal from the John Handcock Tower and its digital signal from the Sears Tower.
