Marc Darling Marc Darling, was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut in 1952. He attended Vanderbilt University and the University of Florida (B.A., high honors, 1976) and both Cambridge University, England, and the University of Florida Law Schools (J.D., honors, 1979). He was a member of the University of Florida Law Review and is currently licensed to practice in the States of Colorado and Florida. Mr. Darling was the Deputy Public Administrator for the City and County of Denver for ten years, and has served as Chair of the Trust & Estate Section of the Colorado Bar Association and Chair of the Statutory Revisions Committee of the Section and various subcommittees of the Section. Mr. Darling has been a speaker at several Continuing Legal Education programs and has authored or co-authored several articles including: "The New and Improved Colorado Dead Man's Statute," The Colorado Lawyer, Vol. 31, No. 6, June 2002; "Colorado's Proposed New Dead Man's Statute, C.R.S. 13 9 102," Trust & Estate Section Council Notes of the Colorado Bar Association, March 2002; and "Highlights of the Uniform Probate Code, Article II," The Colorado Lawyer , Vol. 23, No. 10, October 1994. Mr. Darling's practice focuses on solving problems in the administration of estates and trusts through compromise or litigation, and is certified as a mediator in that regard. Mr. Darling is licensed to practice in all of Colorado's district and appellate courts and in various federal courts throughout the country. He is a member of the Florida and Colorado Bar Associations. Mr. Darling is also a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and the Colorado Bar Foundation and has an AV rating with Martindale-Hubbell.
