Mani Subramanian Chairman
is an entrepreneur and the Founder and CEO of Fortisure Ventures LLC
, which he
formed in January 2011 to identify and mentor early stage founders to build successful and enduring companies.
With more than 40 years of experience in the global information technology industry, Mani
has significant leadership, general management, marketing and sales expertise, with a flair for turnaround situations in the corporate world.
Mani started his entrepreneurial journey in 1993 in the SF Bay Area when, with capital of $150 thousand, he founded IT Solutions, subsequently re-branded as Caritor in 2003.
Under Mani's leadership, Caritor
grew to over 3500 employees in four continents with annual revenue of $150 million in 2006.
In 2007, with funding of $1 billion from Citibank, Mani
architected the buy-out of Keane
, a Boston-based company over six times Caritor
's size in terms of revenue.
presided as Chairman of Keane
until the company was acquired by NTT Data
in late 2010.
Mani also helped co-found Influence Software, a business intelligence company, jointly with Marv Mouchawar in 1996, which was sold to Informatica (NASDAQ:INFA) in December 1999.
Prior to being an entrepreneur, Mani served as the President of Wipro Systems from 1989 to 1992, where he led Wipro through a strategic shift to IT services and a period of significant growth in its offshoring business.
Before joining Wipro, Mani was part of the top management team at Tata Consultancy Services where he played a global role.
Mani holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai and a post-graduate diploma in business administration from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
