Majid Khaliq Majid Khaliq, Violin Instructor, P.S. 73 Born in New York, Majid Khaliq found his first love - music - at a very young age. Majid started violin lessons at the age of five with Rachel Manevich, who recognized his talents early on, and placed him in a performance ensemble she led at the Harlem School of the Arts. For years, Majid played with the ensemble, performing at Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, Alice Tully Hall, City Hall, Steinway Hall, and St. Petersburg Hall in Russia.
