[Read More] About Shane McGuire founded The McGuire Firm, PC as a trial and appellate firm, with a focus on insurance defense litigation. Mr. McGuire tries cases all over East Texas with outstanding results. Please see Recent Trial Results for a complete list of trials since September 2011. Mr. McGuire is committed to publicly sharing his trial results because results matter. When considering what attorney to retain for your litigation needs, it is imperative to make sure that your attorney is not afraid to try cases and when he does try cases he is successful. When defending cases there are different ways of defining a win. Mr. McGuire's clients are often at fault for an automobile accident or causing some sort of injury, but the primary dispute is about the damages to which the plaintiff may be entitled. Therefore, Mr. McGuire has posted the final, pre-trial demands from each plaintiff in his cases that have gone to trial since 2011, and the evaluated amounts his client or client's insurance carrier placed on each case. Mr. McGuire's commitment to the legal profession goes beyond trying cases and handling appeals. He has also been published in the Texas Tech Law Review while serving as an editor for the law review, and he has recently had an article accepted by Texas Tech Law Review for publication in 2015. Mr. McGuire's recent article is titled "Current Problems (and Solutions) in Texas Personal Injury Suits Involving Motorists and Livestock." Mr. McGuire received his Bachelors of Business Administration, cum laude, in 2000 from The University of Texas At Tyler, where he served as president of the student government association. After graduating from U.T. Tyler, Mr. McGuire co-founded Bridgewater Securities, LLC, a professional securities trading firm, and successfully traded securities for four years prior to attending law school. Mr. McGuire received his Juris Doctorate degree, cum laude, in 2006 from Texas Tech University School of Law, where he served as an editor of the Texas Tech Law Review, and received numerous awards for academic excellence. Mr. McGuire was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2006. He began his practice with Mayo Mendolia & Starr, LLP, and later joined Starr Schoenbrun Comte McGuire PLLC before starting The McGuire Firm, PC in 2015. Mr. McGuire is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Smith County Bar Association, and the Smith County Young Lawyer's Association. Mr. McGuire is admitted to practice law in Texas state courts, the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of Texas, the Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Texas, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
