M. PATRICK CALLAHAN
Patrick is a founder and Manager of deAndrade Callahan, LLC and specializes in the areas of business planning, asset protection, wills, trusts and estate planning.
Prior to forming deAndrade Callahan, LLC, Patrick led the estate planning and business law practice areas at Albright, Houtsma & Clark, LLC, a full service regional law firm based in Atlanta.
Prior to AHC, Patrick worked with the boutique business and estate planning law firm Menden, Freiman & Zitron, LLP.
also provided international tax consulting services in the Washington, DC and Atlanta offices of Deloitte & Touche
represents and advises privately held companies in all stages of the business life cycle from the entity formation stage through operational issues and business expansion to the sale of the business or its transition to the next generation of owners or managers.
practice involves advising clients on business organization structuring, asset protection planning, transactional matters including business sales, acquisitions and reorganizations, and a wide array of contract matters relating to business governance, employment, intellectual property protection, non-compete and other restrictive covenants, and business succession planning.
also provides a range of estate and trust planning services to individuals at various age, income and net worth levels.
regularly assists clients with foundational estate planning including wills, durable financial powers of attorney and health care related planning documents.
also assists high net worth clients on the appropriate use of advanced estate planning techniques such as revocable trusts, irrevocable life insurance trusts, charitable trusts, family holding companies, and non-U.S. trust and business structures.
Patrick is an Atlanta native and graduated from the Marist School.
He received his B.A. in International Economics and Finance, magna cum laude, from the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC and his J.D. from the Georgia State University College of Law where he received awards for his studies in Business Planning and International Business Transactions.
Patrick is a member in good standing with the Georgia Bar and an active member in the Business and Probate sections of the Atlanta Bar Associations.
Patrick also serves on the boards of two Atlanta-based charitable foundations (For Pete's Sake Foundation and Heather's Hope Foundation) which both assist families of children with rare diseases.
