WASHINGTON, D.C.—SNMTS President D. Scott Holbrook recognized the contributions of Cindi Luckett-Gilbert of Charlotte, N.C., and Lynne T. Roy of Los Angeles, Calif., by awarding each with the 2007 President's Distinguished Service Award.
"With this honor, SNMTS recognizes the value and exemplary degree of service both Cindi Luckett-Gilbert and Lynne Roy have brought to the society and to the profession," said SNMTS President D. Scott Holbrook.
Lynne T. Roy
Lynne T. Roy has served as director of the Department of Imaging at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles since 1992.
From 1989–92, she was manager of its nuclear medicine department, and she has held these other positions there: acting manager, chief technologist and nuclear cardiology supervisor.
Prior to working at Cedars Sinai, she was the nuclear medicine chief technologist at Touro Infirmary in New Orleans, La.
Prior to being elected as president of SNMTS, she chaired many committees and task forces.
She is very active at the state level and has served on the California Radiation Control Advisory Board.
has written numerous publications, delivered many presentations and received several awards.
is certified by both the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board.
She has been a Fellow of SNMTS since 1997.
