Lynn Tilton is the Founder and CEO of Patriarch Partners LLC, a holding company with investments in more than 75 companies across 14 industry sectors. Ms. Tilton is passionate about saving American jobs by saving American companies. Since 2000, through affiliated investment funds, Tilton has had ownership in and restructured more than 240 companies with combined revenues in excess of $100 billion, representing more than 675,000 jobs. Current investments include Dura Automotive, Spiegel Catalogs, MD Helicopters, Rand McNally, and Stila Cosmetics. Tilton's platform is the largest woman-owned business in the country.
In 2010, Automotive News named her one of 100 Leading Women in the automotive industry. In 2011, Ms. Tilton was named Entrepreneur of the Year by the Living Legends of Aviation, the first female in history to receive such distinction and in 2012, she was inducted into the Living Legends of Aviation Hall of Fame. She was also honored with the Luminary Award presented by Womensphere, an award given to "the woman whose leadership, innovation, and personal commitment has illuminated and inspired the lives of millions, and positively transformed the world." In 2012, in her capacity as the CEO of Dura Automotive, The Women's Business Enterprise Council - Great Lakes presented Ms. Tilton with the Role Model & Mentor of the Year Award. Ms. Tilton was the subject of a Barbara Walters' 20/20 special discussing her mission of saving American jobs, and a Made in America segment with Diane Sawyer on ABC's World News Tonight. In 2013, she received the 12th Annual Women Who Care award presented by The United Cerebral Palsy Foundation, and received top honors at XPrize's Visioneering 2013 event for conceiving ‘X2-The Mother of All Prizes', a prize created by Tilton that enhances the purse for any XPrize team that is comprised of at least 50% women. Additionally, she helped formulate the incentivized XPrize to improve cognitive function in the battle against Alzheimer's disease. CNBC and its viewers recently named Tilton one of the 100 Most Influential Names in Business over the last 25 years.
Ms. Tilton earned a BA in American Studies from Yale University, and an MBA in Finance from Columbia University.

Ms. Tilton is well recognized by TV and print media alike for her modern day industrialist efforts to rebuild America. Her labors, since the founding of Patriarch have saved over 200,000 jobs and more than 100 companies from liquidation. Ms. Tilton's career spans 30 years and encompasses private equity, distressed asset management, financial engineering, high yield loan sales and trading, investment banking and senior management. In addition to her role at Patriarch, Ms. Tilton currently serves as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of MD Helicopters Inc., a leading manufacturer of commercial and military aircraft.
Under Ms. Tilton's leadership, Patriarch has positioned itself as a proactive partner to companies during periods of operational, industrial and economic transformation. Patriarch provides liquidity, time and strategic support, frequently saving US companies and US jobs. Patriarch inspires management teams to rebuild, using creative structural solutions and add-on investments in order to enhance companies' long-term values. Prior to founding Patriarch Partners, Ms. Tilton was an executive at Long Drive Management Trust ("LDMT"), a special situations investment fund and Executive Managing Director of Papillon Partners, Inc., a firm which she founded to offer customized research, valuation and execution services to sellers of bank loans and high yield bonds. Ms. Tilton began her career at Morgan Stanley in 1981. She also worked for Goldman, Sachs & Co. and Merrill Lynch as an investment banker until 1989.
Ms. Tilton earned a B.A. in American Studies from Yale University and an MBA in Finance from Columbia University.
