Lynn Alexander, a member of SCMLA since 1984, teaches in the Department of English and Modern Foreign Languages at the University of Tennessee at Martin. She presents annually at SCMLA and has twice received conference paper prizes there. She is also an active member of the Midwest Victorian Studies Association, Tennessee Philological Association, and MLA. Her scholarly work focuses on the Victorian novel and on gender studies. She has published one book, two critical editions, and over a dozen articles. Her current scholarship focuses on the portrayal of working-class men in Victorian social-protest novels.
