He has over 15 years of extensive domestic and international transactional experience in investment banking, sales and marketing, private equity, and mortgage valuation and loan sale advisory. While at Mission Capital, Mr. Vergara has transacted over $16 billion in residential and commercial mortgage loan sales and agency deliveries and valued an additional $11 billion mortgage loan portfolios. Prior to joining Mission, Mr. Vergara served as Director of Business Development for PayQuik (acquired by Citigroup), a financial services company that provides electronic payments solutions for U.S. and foreign financial institutions. He also worked as a Senior Associate for Tower Hill Capital Group (THCG), Inc., where he executed over $300 million in advisory, equity and debt capital raising, and private equity transactions. Prior to THCG, Mr. Vergara worked as an Associate in the Corporate Finance group of Santander Investment Securities Inc., the brokerage and investment banking arm of Banco Santander Central Hispano. During his tenure there, he was involved in public equity offerings and M&A transactions totaling over $950 million. Mr. Vergara also worked for CIBC World Markets (formerly known as Oppenheimer & Co., Inc.) as a Financial Analyst in the International Investment Banking group and as a Loan Manager on the High Yield/Emerging Markets trading desk. While at CIBC, he participated in equity and high yield debt public offerings, private placements, M&A transactions and the trading of distressed debt, the aggregate of which represented over $1 billion. Mr. Vergara received his Bachelor of Arts degree, with distinction, from the University of Virginia and MBA in Finance and Management from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a recipient of the Howard E. Mitchell Fellowship award. Mr. Vergara is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.
