For Luis Acevedo, Jean Wilburn, John L. Mitchell, Mary 'Meme' Tucker and Joyce Marie McCarley BowlingLuis Acevedo Luis Acevedo, 51, of Midland died Saturday, February 9, 2002. Luis was born August 27, 1950 in San Jose, Costa Rica to Luis and Iris Acevedo.They moved to the U.S. and Luis attended the University of Oklahoma.He graduated with a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering in 1974.He married Peggy Phillips on December 21, 1979. Luis lived in Midland from 1982 to 1987, working for Ensearch Exploration.He returned in 1999, working for CMS Oil and Gas.Since January of 2001 he had been president of Topaz Consulting Company. He is survived by his wife, Peggy, his sons, Jason and Chad, and his daughter, Staci. Luis was a loving and devoted husband and father. Memorial services have been scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Thursday, February 14, 2002 at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel.
