She has been a member of the United Church of Christ her whole life.

Since Lucille's arrival in 2009, a handicapped accessible bathroom was installed, a church owned rental property was sold, improvements were made to the church buildings, and the congregation entered the Open and Affirming process.
Lucille serves as the president of the Shelton Clergy Association, as member of the Committee on Church and Ministry the Fairfield East Association,volunteer on-call chaplain at Griffin Hospital in Derby, CT and serves on the Pastoral Care Advisory Board as chair.
