Lori Payne, Ph.D. joined the Company in 2001 and was Vice President, Bioanalytical Services, from fiscal 2012 until October 25, 2013, when she notified the President and CEO of the Company of her intent to resign as Vice-President of Bioanalytical Services of the Company effective as of November 15, 2013 in order to pursue other opportunities.
Prior to joining BASi, Dr. Payne was a group leader in the Pharmacokinetics and Drug Metabolism Department of a major pharmaceutical company.
The group was in charge of the development, validation and use of bioanalytical methods for quantification of veterinary pharmaceuticals and their metabolites in biological matrices as well as the determination of the metabolic pathways of new drugs and their pharmacokinetics.
has written several publications and given numerous presentations at professional meetings.
work has contributed to several successful FDA registrations of new drugs.
Dr. Payne earned her bachelor's degree in environmental biochemistry from the University of California-Davis and a Ph.D. in chemistry from Louisiana State University.
