is an industry professional with over 25 years of experience in providing administrative services and marketing/business development for architecture, multi-disciplined engineering and construction companies throughout the United States.
Born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico and having lived in San Diego, California and Las Vegas, Nevada during her
professional career, Ms. Lea
has earned an excellent understanding of the building industry in the Southwest.
Prior to starting AECIndustryPro.com in January 2013, Ms. Lea served as Strategic Development Professional for JMA Architects, Inc., a variable interest entity of Michael Baker Corporation, a large Engineering/Architecture firm, ranked 26 th in the nation among the top 500 design firms, by ENR magazine in 2012.
has also worked for large multi-disciplined A/E and E/A companies including Dekker/Perich/Sabatini

(subsequently AECOM), Leedshill-Herkenhoff, Inc.
(subsequently ASCG, Inc. and now WHPacific, Inc.), and several smaller architecture firms in the roles of administrator and marketing/business development.
Starting her career in the 80's as a receptionist with an architectural firm, Ms. Lea learned the in's and out's of administrative services for "architecture"- the art or practice of designing and constructing buildings.

Ms. Lea knows business license practices for different states, and understands the requirements associated with professional registrations for architects and professional licensure for engineers.
In addition, Ms. Lea
is experienced in business management including preparation of proposals and fee proposals, invoicing and accounts payable/receivable and accounts aging reporting.
She has worked with Deltek Accounting/Marketing Management Software, Cosential Database Management Software, and RFP Proposal Creation Software.

Having extensive experience in public sector and federal government contracting, Ms. Lea understands the procurement processes for professional services.
She has served as Business Development Manager for small- to medium-sized companies and has contributed to acquiring A/E services fees for over $254 million in construction, over the past nine years.
Ms. Lea knows construction delivery methods including traditional bidding methods, design-build and construction manager at risk project delivery.
Having prepared specifications in her
understands the 50 Divisions of Construction and knows how to read a set of construction drawings.
Having acquired this vast array of experience within the industry, Ms. Lea has gained the vision to create AECIndustryPro.com, an on-line portal for everything architecture, engineering, and construction.

An active member of the Vegas community, Ms. Lea is currently President of Southern Nevada Public Television/ Vegas PBS, supporting and promoting the organization in it's efforts to provide quality television programming, varied media services, tools, and resources to support education, community outreach, and workforce training.
