The faculty has just received a transformative gift from Lorenzo
and Donna Donadeo and their family to support construction of the centre.
Lorenzo is co-founder, CEO and director of Vermilion Energy Inc.
graduated from the U of A with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering in 1981.
Edmonton-A major gift from an alumnus is enabling the University of Alberta Faculty of Engineering
to grow student enrolment and increase its capacity for teaching and research.
The donation comes from Lorenzo Donadeo
, who graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering in 1981, his wife Donna, and their family.

Referring to the U of A as "an internationally recognized top-tier engineering university," Lorenzo Donadeo
family are excited about supporting the school and growth in the Faculty of Engineering.
The gift is "a way for us to say thank you for the great work the Faculty of Engineering does," he
said, adding that engineers and leaders of the future will benefit from the gift.
Donadeo is a co-founder, CEO and director of Calgary-based Vermilion Energy Inc.
Established 20 years ago, the company is recognized as a top employer in Alberta and across Canada, as well as in the Netherlands and France.
