Crooks migrated to the United States in 1968, settling in Brooklyn, New York. Before leaving Trinidad & Tobago, he worked both as a Parliament and as a court reporter. Mr. Crooks' travels to Africa, Europe, and the Caribbean have influenced not only his writing, but his love of music.
