"Burnished orange and copper shades are on-trend this year, and are particularly appropriate for this season," says Liz Cann, design director of Sanderson & Zoffany.
"Orange conjures a cosy atmosphere and teams wonderfully well with grey.
"Use the latter for walls and then choose orange and copper shades for upholstery fabrics, cushions and lamps."
Gold accessories will enhance a sense of luxury, but use silver frames and details for a more contemporary edge, advises Cann
Mid-tone neutrals great for kitchens
Liz Cann, design director for Zoffany, said popular tones are pheasant and warm taupe, as well as deeper neutrals like Victorian purple, which is a charcoal colour with a hint of blackberry.

On the 14th of April 2011 Liz Cann, Design Director for Zoffany presented the latest fabric and wallpaper collections to 120 guests at an evening hosted by Brian S. Nolan, the largest retailer of designer fabrics in Ireland.
Guests were invited to an evening of canapes and wine to launch the Spring/Summer ranges, and to meet internationally renowed designer Liz Cann who gave an unique insight into her design process.Giving a look behind the scenes, Liz explained how she works with the archives to come up with the new exciting ranges for Zoffany.

There's also a wealth of innovative and exciting modern patterns and finishes to choose from. 'Big, baroque designs have been popular for the past few years, and the most up-to-date interpretations of these designs are more tonal, for example grey on grey,' says Liz Cann, design director at Zoffany. 'Metallics have also been around for a while, but now we're also seeing more pearlised and iridescent inks, and designs with a bit of a sheen, as well as smaller-scale, prettier prints.'
