Lisa TutmanShe joined NBC 5 Chicago as a general assignment reporter in May 1997 with 10 years of reporting experience. Tutman came to NBC 5 Chicago from Washington, D.C., where she was a correspondent for COX Broadcasting.While with COX, Lisa covered the White House, Capitol Hill and national issues for all COX-owned stations. Prior to that, she worked at WSB TV-2 in Atlanta, Ga., where she anchored the Saturday morning and noon newscast. Chicago is not Lisa's first Midwest stint.Before Atlanta she spent two years at WISH TV-8 in Indianapolis, Ind., where she was a general assignment reporter and fill-in anchor.While in Indianapolis, Lisa did a good deal of feature sports reporting as well as numerous special assignment series reporting. Tutman started her broadcasting career at WJRT TV-8 in Saginaw, Mich. where she was a general assignment reporter, fill-in anchor and producer/reporter/editor of the weekly Monday's Child segment -- a wildly successful weekly segment which features Big Brother/ Big Sister candidates.That program had a 100-percent success rate, meaning every child featured was placed with an adult mentor. Lisa earned a BA and MBA from A&M University in Huntsville, Alabama.She currently resides in Mundelein, Ill., with husband Boris.Tutman enjoys sewing, and a variety of arts and crafts.She also enjoys "talking news" with twin sister Paula who is a general assignment news reporter at WDIV TV-4 in Detroit. NBC5's Lisa Tutman reported from the scene of the fire, at 2802 Deer Trail, where just the frame and roof of the house remained after the fire was put out. More NBC5 images ""The occupants apparently knew they were in trouble, because a 911 emergency call was placed from within the home, sometime after midnight,"" Tutman said.""The three people inside were killed.Authorities believe the victims are a mother and two children."" Search crews were unable to locate the victims until around 5:30 a.m., after an extensive search, Tutman said. Tutman said the victims were found in an upper-level bedroom.A woman identifying herself as the children's nanny told Tutman they were 9 and 5 years old.
