Ms. Ha-Ngoc began working in the classroom the winter before graduating from Dartmouth, teaching art at The Becket School (Haverhill, N.H.). Upon graduation she taught upper level Spanish, including AP and developed the International Baccalaureate and IGCSE curricula for the Spanish department at St. Timothy's School, an all-girls independent boarding school in Stevenson, Md.
She spent a year abroad teaching English in both Madrid and Navas del Rey, Spain before returning stateside in 2007 to teach undergraduate Spanish at Boston University while volunteering at the International Institute of Boston, tutoring English to immigrants and refugees and preparing Haitian immigrants for their U.S. citizenship exams.
came to Dawson in 2008 from Hanoi, Vietnam where she
had been teaching English.
Ms. Ha-Ngoc graduated Cum Laude with an A.B. in Spanish Literature from Dartmouth College in 2004, spent attended summer seminars abroad for Spanish teachers at Ohio State in 2005 and earned her master's degree in Spanish from Middlebury College in '07.
As an undergraduate Ms. Ha-Ngoc was a member of Hanover's Harlequins Musical Theater and while at St. Timothy's she performed in the Handel Choir of Baltimore.
also performed symphonic-coral and Spanish music from the 17th century to present day in Coro Talia in Madrid.
