Lisa Gilpin is the president of the Shelter Island School's Parent Teacher Student Association and as such is a busy person. Lisa had majored in business and accounting, had her first full time job while still in college and managed to secure one promotion after another. They moved to Sagaponack, Lisa became pregnant at 40, began graduate school at Stony Brook in social work and the couple moved to Shelter Island, having become fond of the Shelter Island Presbyterian Church. Her husband, Sandy, retired, she got her real estate license after a few years and is now actively engaged here on the Island at Daniel Gale Sotheby.
