Lisa M. Bruder, formerly known as Lisa DiSalvo, was born on December 12, 1969 in Cheektowaga, New York, a suburb outside Buffalo.
then attended Buffalo State College for two years, and then transferred to State University of New York at Buffalo (UB).After a leave of absence, Lisa
graduated from UB in February, 1995 and pursued a career in law in August, 1995.Lisa
attended the University of Akron School of Law where she was an active member and secretary of the legal fraternity Phi Delta Phi.In addition, Lisa
was on Law Review and served as the Citations Editor.Lisa
was also a student assistant to Associate Dean Elizabeth Reilly.
graduated cum laude and finished in the top third of her

In August, 1999, Lisa
married Matthew Bruder, whom she
met in law school.
After taking the 1998 Summer Ohio Bar Examination, Lisa
clerked for the Twelfth District Court of Appeals for one year.Thereafter, Lisa
became employed as an associate lawyer for Darrell L. Heckman, specializing in Domestic Relations.
