Lisa Clement, soprano and pianist, earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Performance, summa cum laude, from Murray State University in Kentucky and the Masters of Music in Performance degree from the University of Louisville. She studied additionally at the University of Texas at Austin toward a Doctorate of Musical Arts degree in Performance.

Ms. Clement frequently performs at UMHB and across Central Texas as a singer and as a collaborative pianist in recitals and concerts. She has appeared with the CAC Chorale of Temple in Bach's Magnificat, the Brahms Requiem, Poulenc's Gloria, Beethoven's Ninth Symphony Finale and as the "Mother" in Menotti's Amahl and the Night Visitors with the Music in Salado Series.
Ms. Clement maintains a highly active voice studio. Her students have been honored as first place winners and finalists in the National Association of Teachers of Singing regional and district singing competitions, Texas Music Teachers Association Young Artist competition, Music Teachers National Association Young Artist competition and the Barclay music competition.
Lisa Clement is the 2009-2010 Auditions Chair for the South Texas chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing. She has served as previous Auditions Chair and Interim President for the organization.
Ms. Clement was awarded a 2009 Summer Faculty Development Grant from UMHB to study Piano Technology. An Associate Member of the Piano Technicians Guild, Ms. Clement will offer a new course in Piano Technology at UMHB during the spring of 2010.
Ms. Clement has served as full-time faculty at UMHB since 1994. She teaches Applied Voice; Italian, German and French Diction for Singers; and Piano Technology.

Ms. Clement has been recognized for excellence in teaching.She is listed in the 2004 Who's Who Among Teachers in America's Colleges and University and in 2002 received multiple nominations from UMHB faculty for the prestigious Piper Professor Award.
In addition to teaching a full studio of voice students, Ms. Clement coordinates the weekly Performance Labs and instructs Vocal Diction I and II for singers.Ms. Clement has served as full-time faculty at UMHB since 1994.
