Cascade County and Lisa Bracco: Termination Letter
Cascade County and Lisa Bracco: Termination Letter | KRTV.com Cascade County and Lisa Bracco: Termination Letter GREAT FALLS -- Cascade County Commissioners signed a settlement agreement on Thursday morning in a lawsuit filed by former Montana ExpoPark general manager Lisa Bracco. Bracco signed the document on Wednesday; commissioners Bill Salina, Joe Briggs, and Jane Weber signed it on Thursday. As a result, the County has withdrawn Bracco's May 19th termination and will allow her to resign; this will also allow Bracco to file for unemployment if she chooses. In addition, the settlement means that Bracco will drop a lawsuit against Cascade County. The County and Bracco issued the following joint statement as part of the settlement: "Cascade County and Lisa Bracco have reached a resolution regarding all claims and litigation related to Ms. Bracco's Employment with the County. This matter was resolved to the mutual satisfaction of all parties. By this Resolution, Cascade County does not admit any liability. Both parties believe this resolution will allow everyone to move forward without anymore of Cascade County's resources or money being expended." KRTV has obtained three documents related to the issue; in releasing the documents, Bracco said that she maintains her innocence and "hopes that this disclosure will clear the air surrounding her employment." The first is the "Employee 48 Hour Due Process Form" that was sent by Cascade County Commissioners to Lisa Bracco on April 30, 2014; click here to read it. The second is eight-page document that was sent by Bracco's attorney to Cascade County Commissioners rebutting the allegations; click here to read it. The third is a six-page letter (seen below) from Cascade County Commissioners terminating Lisa Bracco's employment. (June 10, 2014) Lisa Bracco, the former general manager of Montana ExpoPark, made her first appearance in court for the lawsuit she filed against Cascade County Commissioners. Bracco filed the wrongful termination suit after she was fired May 19th. Her firing came during a criminal investigation of the ExpoPark, but there has been no explanation and no official link made between the ongoing investigation and Bracco's termination. On Tuesday, attorneys from both sides indicated that a possible settlement had been reached Bracco and the County. Attorneys for Bracco included the termination letter when they filed the suit.
