Pictured ( are the Mineola-Garden City Rotary Clubs Speakers Committee Co-Chairmen L-Martin R) Lord and Helmut Schuler; Althea Robinson, Club Director; Linda Mangano, guest speaker; and Bob Schoelle, Club President On Monday, August 13, Linda Mangano, Nassau County's "First Lady," was the featured speaker for members of the Mineola-Garden City Rotary Club. A life-long resident of Bethpage, Linda, an honorary Rotarian, is presently working with local business leaders to revive the Plainview-Bethpage Rotary Club. An executive in her own right, Linda Mangano is editor and publisher of the "Bethpage Tribune" local newspaper. She serves as Vice President of the Bethpage Chamber of Commerce and is the mentor and advisor of its Junior League. In addition to speaking on the efforts to revive her Rotary Club, Linda answered inquiries from Club members about behind-the-scenes reflections of her various tasks and responsibilities as wife of Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano. Too numerous to list are Linda Mangano's extensive activities, honors and awards. It was agreed by Club Members that her enthusiasm and dedication to her Bethpage community and far beyond are both amazing and to be commended.
