Linda Baird Associate Director, Youth Justice Programs Linda Baird is the associate director of Youth Justice Programs. Ms. Baird manages the Center's Youth Justice Board program, including curriculum design, lesson planning, outreach to program partners, facilitating Board sessions, and supervising a program associate and interns. Ms. Baird led the development of the Youth Justice Board's 2009 curriculum and operations tool kit and supports technical assistance initiatives related to youth program development. She also oversees the Center's Police-Youth Dialogue Project, funded by the federal office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS). Through this project, the Center will publish a tool kit in 2014 summarizing promising practices associated with positive teen-police communication. Ms. Baird earned a B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College and a M.Ed. from Lesley University.

Linda Baird
Program Coordinator, Youth Justice Board bairdl@courtinnovation.org Linda Baird is the Program Coordinator of the Youth Justice Board. She is responsible for curriculum design, lesson planning, outreach to program partners, facilitating Board sessions and supervising a project associate and interns. Prior to joining the Center, she worked as the National Policy Coordinator at The After-School Corporation, organizing a six-city initiative to increase the scale, funding and sustainability of after-school programs. She has extensive experience working with young people, having served for three summers as a counselor at The Thurber House youth writing camp in Columbus, Ohio, and for three years as a Citizen Schools Teaching Fellow in Boston, Massachusetts. She earned her B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College and her M.Ed. from Lesley University.

About Linda Baird Linda Baird is the Program Coordinator of the Youth Justice Board. The program brings together teenagers from across New York City to study juvenile justice and public safety issues that affect their lives, make recommendations for change, and work with policymakers to implement their ideas. Ms. Baird is responsible for curriculum design, lesson planning, outreach to program partners, facilitating Board sessions and supervising a Program Associate and interns. Ms. Baird oversaw the development of the Youth Justice Board's curriculum and operations toolkit, published in 2009, and "I Got Arrested! Now What?," an informational comic book designed for youth involved in the juvenile justice system. Prior joining the Center for Court Innovation, Ms. Baird served as an AmeriCorps Teaching Fellow, working with young people in Boston, MA, and as the National Policy Coordinator at The After-School Corporation in New York City.
