A native Mississippian, she received her Bachelor of Music Education degree from the University of Southern Mississippi (USM) in Hattiesburg, MS, and taught elementary music for ten years in the public schools of Mississippi.
She served for twenty-eight years as Administrative Secretary to the Director of the School of Music at USM.
retired in May 2003.
A third-generation Universalist, Linda
has been involved with worship for more than twenty-five years.
presented a workshop on Universalism in the Mid-South District at the Unitarian Universalist 2000 General Assembly, sponsored by the Mid-South District and Murray Grove Retreat and Conference Center.
A frequent guest speaker at churches within the Mid-South District, Linda
served for several years as mentor to the Unitarian Universalist Church of the Shoals

was chosen in 1986 by the Mississippi Religious Leadership Conference as one of twelve women in the state to be honored for significant contributions to the religious community.
was a 1999 nominee for the Mid-South District "Unsung UU Award".
Linda is married to Jamie Foshee, retired band director who now serves as Director of Music Education Services for Mississippi Music, Inc.
