Linda M. Birochik, CPA, has been named chief financial officer for the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, Albany Province.
was selected from over 40 applicants in a process that included multiple interviews as well as interactions with both province staff and current members of the staff in the Treasurer's Office.
is presently director of finance and planning for Our Lady of Hope Province of the Felician Sisters of North America, headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA. Prior to that, she
was the director of finance for the Felicians' Immaculate Heart of Mary Province
Linda was also a regional director for Zielinski Ministry Services where she worked extensively with treasurers of religious congregations.
In addition, she worked as a CPA for the firm of Malin, Berquist and Company, LLP, in Pittsburgh, PA.
Linda holds a degree in theology from Duquesne University and a degree in accounting from the University of Pittsburgh.
She has held many professional memberships and religious associations, including serving on the Council of Religious Treasurers, and is currently a member of the board of Villa Maria College in Buffalo, NY.
In August, Linda will begin a period of orientation with Sister Serena Thompson, CSJ, present province treasurer for the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, Albany Province.
