Lillian McMorris
...
For many years Lillian McMorris served as the Public Affairs Chairperson of the Nevada Broadcasters Association. For many years Lillian represented Nevada's broadcasters with distinction and honor. I have profound respect for her community passion and for her humanity compassion. So many community leaders - both big and small, know of the countless and endless good works of this public affairs soldier. But few know the depth of what she has done and continues to do for individuals and for families and for groups of people - behind the scenes, in private and without recognition. Lillian McMorris casts a giant shadow.
What can I say about Lillian McMorris, except for WOW!! Lillian is an integral part of the Las Vegas community. She has served this community in a wide variety of capacities over the years. On, a personal note Lillian served as my PR person on my campaign for Municipal Court Judge. Lillian was efficient, informed and timely in meeting my promotional needs. Additionally Lillian was there for me every day with words of support, and concern. Lillian McMorris is a vibrant, intelligent, informed and all around wonderful person who takes pride in everything she does. Whether it's being mistress of ceremonies for a major event, hosting a television program, serving as an elected leader of a social organization or just being a volunteer for a local charity, Lillian gives 110%. She is a shining example of what a leader should be and a role model for all women. Lillian McMorris is truly a valuable asset to anything she affiliates herself with and I seize any opportunity to learn from her. Throughout the city of Las Vegas at events that enrich or empower the community, Lillian McMorris is an integral part. She unselfishly gives her time and talent to benefit various community organizations and causes. Whether acting as mistress of ceremonies for a sorority charity fashion show, coordinating a mentoring program, participating in a Clark County School District recognition program for teachers, or acting as the publicist for some worthwhile event, Lillian is there providing style, grace and expertise. Lillian McMorris is a true asset to the Las Vegas Community. Lillian McMorris is compassionate and without predjudice. I regard her as a perfect advocate/representative for an organization, agency or corporation. Always immaculately dressed in elegant fashion, Lillian is in control as mistress of ceremonies or director of any event for which she is hired or donates her time. She has interviewed me, President of Women of Diversity Productions, several times over the course of a couple years when she was the Producer/Host of A.M.Southern Nevada on KVVU TV Fox 5. She was a quintessential interviewer in keeping me on track and creating an interesting program to fully describe the specific event my non-profit organization was producing. When watching her other sessions, I noted she had presence and she posed insightful questions. On July 19,2003 at the Revealing Nevada program, Women of Diversity Productions together with the Las Vegas Art Museum honored Lillian as one of the Outstanding Nevada Women exemplifying the spirit of Seneca Falls.
