Maybe now that Andrade

Rowland Bryant Discusses Stopping Librado Andrade
No one really gave Light Heavyweight Rowland Bryant (now 16-1, 11 KO's) any chance of defeating the tough whiskered Librado Andrade
(30-5, 23 KO's) this past weekend in El Paso Texas.
P4P: Tell us about when you first got the call to fight Librado
P4P: Going into the fight were you looking to jump on Andrade
and get a quick KO or was that merely cause and effect from the way the fight went down?
RB: I was planning on knocking him out but I wasn't expecting it to happen in any certain round or anything like that.
I was just trying to be patient and not fighting all crazy throwing unnecessary punches and tiring my self out because we know what kind of fighter he
He is a distance fighter that throws a lot of punches, so I must wanted to take my time and wait to see that window open where I could get a shot in, then I wanted to make sure to land it good and hard.
P4P: Alright Rowland, I am sure I can speak for Librado
team by telling you congratulations on your victory.
After stumbling to the mat early in round three the fighters got up and after landing a big shot that sent Andrade
to the ropes.
There are some who said Andrade
deserved to be given more time considering the way he
has gotten through similar onslaughts in the past but there were no excuses from Andrade
who did not lay blame on the ref but instead said it was his
fault for fighting in such a reckless style.
Returns On Stellar El Paso Card
The bouts that will be on Showtime and Showtime Extreme feature Abner Mares, Anselmo Moreno, Gary Russell Jr., Luis Ramos Jr., and Super Middleweight contender Librado Andrade
The last time the boxing world heard from Andrade
was December 17th of last year.
That is when Andrade was left without a dance partner for an IBF title eliminator as Donovan George pulled out of the fight minutes before the battle was set to ensue.
George's promoter Leon Margules stated the size of the ring was the reason for the abrupt defection but after failing to meet Andrade on a later date as promised, it seems pretty clear Margules wanted no part of the full speed ahead fighter from Guanajuato, Mexico.
will take his
30-4, 23 KO record into the ring as he
faces Rowland Bryant (15-1,10 KO's) in a scheduled 10 round Super Middleweight attraction that will be part of the Showtime Extreme action.
With the Super Six tournament behind us the 168 pound division has opened up and an impressive win may get Andrade
back in the title picture before the year is out.
One thing the boxing fans can count is the fact that Librado
will come into the ring to fight and with his
fan friendly style there is no doubt the fight will be entertaining while it lasts.
