Leslie Galloway, Administrative Director
Leslie Galloway has been with Southwest Youth and Family Services in various capacities since January 1993.
She has held her current position as administrative director since 2006.
She has a BS in Forestry from the University of Washington.
was introduced to nonprofits as a young girl, growing up in southwest King County.
mother worked for World Without War Council and Leslie
helped by stuffing envelopes and collating stacks of paper.
also went along with her
father during political canvassing campaigns.
has worked for other nonprofits in West Seattle (Log House Museum and Junction Community Food Bank), doing bookkeeping and other administrative stuff, but it was of short duration and part time.
In her work here at SWYFS, she has dealt with virtually every aspect of administration, including accounting, compliance, HR, IT, facilities, and risk management.
a problem-solver, in her
words, "similar to whack-a-mole" - when a problem comes up - she
figures it out in the moment.
