Retribution Against CFJ President and Board Member Leslie Cumiford
Sheriff Darren White sends posse to intimidate activist mother and her child | Retribution against CFJ President and Board member Leslie Cumiford
Retribution Against CFJ President and Board Member Leslie Cumiford Judge Deborah Davis Walker dutifully followed in the footsteps of her mentor Anne Kass by initiating and driving a scheme with the same objectives making false accusations and demanding the investigation of CFJ President, Leslie Cumiford. Near the end of the rally, out-of-state organizer Richard Farr (of krightsradio) and Carol Wade asked CFJ President Leslie Cumiford to accompany them inside the courthouse to Judge Walker's office. Leslie was leading the meeting. Leslie took the phone and Jim Belshaw demanded to know about the "flyer" handed out at the CFJ rally. Leslie quickly stated, "The Center for Family Justice does not condone any sort of violence and believes in using only legal means to address problems in the family court." Leslie and the CFJ Board met with Sanchez, who flashed his badge and asked questions for about an hour. Leslie attempted to call him a few days later to request evidence tags, but the Sheriff's office at first stated that Sanchez did not work there. Therefore, CFJ President Leslie Cumiford faxed a letter to Chief Judge Lang and Court Administrator Juanita Duran, describing the problem, the bias inherent in the clerks' actions, and the violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act and the misuse of the public courthouse which was funded by public tax money. Leslie stated that a CFJ team would be at the clerks' office to continue their research and that she trusted the Chief Judge would resolve the problem. What happened the next day was appalling. Multiple armed guards were called to the clerks' office, and Leslie was threatened with arrest if she did not step about five feet to the left while reviewing a court docket file. Leslie and Lee quietly stood their ground. Leslie stated that her tax money paid for the courthouse and the public table and absent a policy, it was not lawful for her to be threatened with arrest for sitting at a public table in a public building that was there for the express purpose of reviewing public docket files. Over the last few weeks, under the guise of "collecting" judgments against Leslie for fees for attorney Richard Lees, Bernalillo County Sheriff's Officer Carlos Gutierrez has been in contact with Leslie. Over the last few weeks, under the guise of "collecting" judgments against Leslie for fees for attorney Richard Lees, Bernalillo County Sheriff's Officer Carlos Gutierrez has been in contact with Leslie. Leslie faxed a letter to Sheriff Darren White with a description of Gutierrez' harassing tactics on December 27, 2007. Leslie faxed another letter to Sheriff Darren White and a Notice of Tort Claim to Bernalillo County about the incident. No one from Bernalillo County or Sheriff Darren White's office contacted Leslie. Finally, on April 11, 2008, Leslie received a letter from the New Mexico County Insurance Authority. First of all, Leslie was not questioned in this alleged "investigation" and neither was her neighbor who personally witnessed three unmarked cars and five armed officers showing up at her front door. So it was not by any stretch of the means an "investigation" - only the Sheriff's office was contacted and there was not even a request for evidence from Leslie. The "untimely" tort claim was filed on the same day the posse showed up at her house. Finally, Becky West needs to learn basic English: did she mean "their" efforts instead of "there" efforts? Leslie has requested a different officer.

Judge Linda Vanzi
Since her appointment as judge in CFJ President Leslie Cumiford's case, she has relentlessly terrorized Leslie and her family and refused to uphold or enforce any prior judgments or orders in Leslie's favor, including a mandate from the Court of Appeals.
Her behavior is summarized in the this pleading. She is inexperienced, having received her law degree less than ten years before she was appointed to the bench.
