has 20 years experience in water resources research, planning aquatic ecosystem restoration projects (such as the Everglades), and, currently, reviewing Corps water projects nationwide at the headquarters level for environmental, engineering, and economic compliance.
Although currently a resident of DC, Leigh
lived for many years in northern Virginia and still has strong personal connections to Alexandria through friendships and business associates.
In his spare time, he likes to stay fit, bike, hike, read, travel, volunteer for progressive political campaigns, and take advantage of DCâ€™s amazing cultural opportunities.
Leigh believes he has benefited greatly from his Alexandria GLCA membership -- in terms of lasting friendships, entertaining social activities, fulfilling opportunities to volunteer, and meaningful community involvement â€" and would welcome the opportunity to â€œgive backâ€ to the organization by serving on the AGLCA Board as Membership Coordinator.
