Lee Walkup, Vice-President
The down-home Texan-in-residence at Grace, Lee Walkup
mixes a talent at strings, vocals and woodwinds as a virtual walking instrument.
With a Masters Degree in Music from Indiana University, Lee has studied with Herbert Blayman of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, William Klinger of the Miami Philharmonic, and has played under composer Aaron Copland.
In the equally serious world of commercial production, Lee
is a two-time winner of the American Song Festival, has appeared on the first New York Songwriter's Showcase, and has scored for films, radio and television commercials.
A Grace Recording
tickles the Macintosh keyboard and tickles the clients with an extraordinary mix of musicology, composition and down-home humor.
Lee is also a music teacher in the Shelton Public Schools, where he has taught thousands of students since 1972.
