Lee knew at a young age that he wanted to be a plumber. Lee served his plumbing apprenticeship with his father, a general contractor, at the age of 16 and went to work as a plumber after he graduated from high school. He earned his Texas journeyman plumber's license in 1972, his Master Plumber License in 1979 and his Tennessee Master Plumber License in 1992. He graduated from the Commercial Trades Institute, where he learned building construction.
Lee has been with Roto-Rooter since 1976. He has lived and worked in Houston, Dallas, Ft. Worth, Nashville, and since 2001 has served as the Roto-Rooter independent contractor in Fayetteville, North Carolina. He employs 12 technicians and serves 12 counties.
Lee is a Roto-Rooter certified Trainer and taught Roto-Rooter's Plumbing 100 School in Nashville from 1997 until 2001. He has served two terms as vice president of the Fayetteville Plumbers Association, and is a member of the local Better Business Bureau's Ethics Committee. Lee has been an active member in the Dallas, Houston and Nashville chapters of the Plumbing, Heating and Cooling Contractor (PHCC) Association.
Lee donates his time and expertise to Habit for Humanity every year to help build homes for low-income families in his Fayetteville community. He also participates regularly with Operation InAsMuch, a church-sponsored program to help homeowners with maintenance and repair projects.
