The only way the nation can be salvaged from it present predicament is through genuine repentance of individuals in the nation, said the General Overseer, The Lord's Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries, Pastor Lazarus Muoka.
Speaking during a press conference preceding a three-day crusade, which began weekend, at the Lord's Chosen Secondary School, Mgbidi in Oru Local Government of Imo State, Muoka said Nigeria cannot be a progressive nation in any aspect without righteousness.
"No nation has ever progressed without the people in that nation abiding by the law, serving and fearing God," he
therefore advised that as the nation begins another new year, Nigerians
should turn to God and reverence Him in all their dealings, adding: "God as the master of all wisdom and knowledge says in the scripture that, 'seek ye first the kingdom of God and His
righteousness and all other things will be added unto you".
therefore stated that whatever Nigeria would want to achieve as a nation, the masses should seek first the kingdom of God and every other thing they need - be it security, peace, prosperity, unity and any other progress in life, would be given to them.
appealed, particularly to the Niger Delta youths to turn to God and begin to live right if they need His
blessing and protection for the nation.
On the benefit of the ongoing crusade, tagged "Come and Behold the Goodness of God", which ends today, Muoka
said salvation, which is its main focus, is the greatest experience that individuals who make up a nation can have, which will bring about peace and economic development to a nation.
"By the time many people would have returned to the Lord
, giving their lives to God and having the word of God inside them, this will affect every aspect of the national life", the cleric said.
added: "When the people are saved and they begin to fear God and live right, there would be nothing like ethnic and political crises, kidnapping and rituals or armed robbery in the nation.
Rather there would be peace, unity and security".
Chosen General Overseer said the progress of the nation hinges on salvation, adding that it was for this reason that during this programme, God will touch the lives of the people and they would go out and become a blessing to the society.
stressed that prayers would be said during the three-day programme.
"We would be lifting the nation to the Lord in prayers and in this way, we believe that our prayers will go a long way in bringing peace, unity and security to the nation," Muoka said.
