Tantara records recently released the CD "Kingsfold," featuring BYU guitar professor Lawrence Green.Tantara Records
, an enterprise center in the BYU
School of Music, recently re-released Professor Lawrence Green's CD, "Kingsfold." Green, a BYU guitar professor, actually produced the CD a few years ago, but Tantara bought the rights, repackaged it and redesigned the CD to focus more on Green.
The CD is a collaboration of Green
colleagues, with many of the contributions coming from other BYU
faculty.The music is guitar-based, and includes rearrangements of hymns, inspirational songs and newly composed songs. Green is a guitar instructor in the School of Music.He
is fluent in many guitar styles including classical, rock, jazz and country.
"I started out just like a lot of people do with rock and folk," Green

Green's biggest hope is for people to enjoy this album and the quality of music that it contains.
"My goal is that it's really good music and people need to hear it," Green

is confident that this CD will be a joy and inspiration to everyone.

said."Everybody should own it.I'm not just saying that because it's me, but because it's true, because of the composers and the quality of the music." Green
grew up listening to great classical players like Andrès Segovia.He holds a masters' degree in music and performance from Arizona State University and has authored several guitar instructional books.
