Laura Weller-Brophy is the Founder and CEO of FluoroLogic, Inc.
has over 25 years development and management experience in the Telecom, Biomedical, Display, and Optics industries.
Her expertise in leadership, strategy development, and IP management were built through her work with 3M, Corning, Inc., and Eastman Kodak.
When at Corning, Dr. Weller-Brophy served as the Manager of Component Technologies Applied Research, leading a 30 person group that partnered in the launch of new optical components for the Telecom industry; the Telecom Division reported >$2 first year sales.
She supported international applied research as a liaison to the Corning Japan Research Center, and was a member of the integration team supporting significant acquisitions in 2000.
During her tenure with Kodak, Dr. Weller-Brophy was a founding member of the Optical Display Films business, exceeding $20MM in third year sales.
She served as one of the principal members of the Display Films business strategy team.
was responsible for development of an IP strategy for the business that led to the successful divestiture of a patent portfolio, and supported acquisition of the business by Rohm
and Haas in 2007.
has over 30 patents issued or pending.
She holds BS, MS and PhD degrees from The Institute of Optics, University of Rochester, is a Fellow of the Optical Society of America, and is a registered US patent agent.
