Laura Prokopyk - viola, violin
Laura Prokopyk, Violinist Laura Prokopyk is the former Concertmaster of the award-winning Cleveland Chamber Symphony (CCS), a group dedicated to new music.
As soloist with CCS
has recorded Augusta Read Thomas' Spirit Musing, Robert Erickson's Garden, Erica Muhl's Consolation, and has premiered many other works.
Laura has performed much of the traditional chamber music literature on both violin and viola, was a chamber music coach at ENCORE for seventeen years, a member of the Trinity Chamber Players and Chamber Orchestra in Cleveland, a frequent performer in the New Music Associates series at Cleveland State University and a founding memeber of the Pensacola (FL) Chamber Music Festival.
In 2002 she
taught at the Erie (PA) Youth Symphony Festival and in 2004 she
was guest artist faculty at the Las Vegas Music Festival.
For the past two seasons, Laura has served as Concertmaster for the Bismarck-Mandan Symphony.
