Laura Galloway - Galloway Media Group
Laura Galloway is Principal of Galloway Media Group, a media strategy consultancy that helps leading organizations and individuals in the global ideas economy create lasting impact and visibility for their ideas.
Established in 2004, GMG's clients have included the TED Conferences, The Economist Group, The University of Southern California, the Tallberg Foundation, Architecture for Humanity and numerous others in the worlds of science, technology, design, innovation and social entrepreneurship.
From 2006-2011, Laura served as Head of Media Relations for the TED Conferences, via Galloway Media Group.
During her tenure at TED, Laura developed and managed external media for all of the organization's programs, including conferences in the United States, the United Kingdom, Africa and India.
She oversaw media launches of the online TED Talks, The Open Translation Program, and for the launch of TEDx and TEDxChange, held in partnership with the Gates Foundation.
She also initiated and managed content partnerships with several broadcast and publishing outlets, including CNN, The Huffington Post and ABC News.
A journalist by training, Laura began her career at The Los Angeles Times.
reported and wrote for the newspaper's Metro, National and View sections, and was part of the 1994 Pulitzer Prize-winning
team for staff coverage of the Los Angeles riots.

studies and reports on the Sami people, a population indigenous to Europe's arctic regions.
She is a past board member of Project H Humanitarian Design and the Respect Institute.
She holds a degree in International Political Science from the University of Southern California.
