Laura Cook, corporate communications and community affairs director for Corporex Companies for the last four years, has left the company to form her own firm, Cook Communications.Corporex will be one of her first clients.Her company will have its office in RiverCenter I, the Corporex-owned high-rise adjacent to RiverCenter II, where Cook worked in the Corporex office.She said the office move probably will be completed next week.Cook said her company will handle public relations strategy, media relations, publications, Web page content, special events, legislative relations and other related fields.Before going to work for Corporex, Cook had worked for St. Luke Hospital and the Health Alliance for 10 years.
