Larry Stelzer Updates Mercer County Commissioners
...Larry Stelzer, Mercer County Economic Development Director (knapps news photo file)Larry Stelzer, Mercer County Economic Development Director updated the Mercer County Commissioners on several issues at their September 13 meeting.He said that the county is close to recovering the $35,000 loaned to the former owner of the Candlelight Inn who nows lives in Michigan. Mr. Stelzer said his department paid $600 to hire a Michigan attorney who has been successful in getting a lien on the former owner's Michigan property.
Once secured, the lien on the Candlelight Restaurant will be removed so a new owner can remodel and open the restaurant, currently scheduled to open under the same name, Candlelight Inn
expects the paperwork to be completed on September 17 thereabouts.With the Commissioners attending the Farm Science Review on Tuesday, it may be next Thursday before all the paperwork is completed.
