Growing up in Green Bay and Cincinnati, Larry Harte is a graduate of Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, where he earned a degree in civil engineering in 1990.
Larry was elected to the Glendale City Council in April 2002 and then elected Mayor in April 2004, a position he held for two terms until 2012.

He is currently on the Board of the Metro Denver YMCA, the Livewell Colorado Board and is the Chairman of the Board of the Four Mile Historic Park.
The Greater Glendale Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development named Larry the Executive Director in 2005, a position he still has today.
