Larry R. Dahl
has accepted the position of assistant district superintendent and will function as the missional transition coach.
Dahl, who will begin his new responsibilities on January 14, 2002, currently is senior pastor of First Church of the Nazarene in Edmonton, Alberta.
A graduate of Canadian Nazarene University College in Calgary and Nazarene Theological Seminary in Kansas City, he
also has pastored congregations in Toronto, Calgary, and Olds, Alberta.
While in Edmonton, Dahl helped establish CariCan, an interdenominational and multicultural citywide ministry; served on the Community Partnership Council, an award-winning group focused on crime prevention; and organized a grief support group.
He has been mission facilitator for the Edmonton South Zone and district Sunday School Ministries chair, and he has served on the Board of Ministry and Ministry Development Center Committee, the SoloCon Council, the Board of Ministry, and the National Board.
As missional transition coach, Dahl will consult with pastors, congregations, and church boards, help churches develop operating budgets, oversee church planting, and work with zone mission facilitators.
