OKLAHOMA CITY -The Oklahoma Osteopathic Association announced today its recent hire of Lana G. Ivy as its Executive Director. Under the direction of the Board of Trustees, she will lead all aspects of the organization, whose mission is to advocate for the osteopathic profession and to promote the health and well-being of all Oklahomans.
“Our association is extremely pleased to have retained Ms. Ivy as our new Executive Director,� said C. Michael Ogle, DO, 2015-2016 president of the OOA. “She comes to us with the organizational experience and leadership qualities necessary to help us navigate the current challenges in this constantly changing health care environment.�

Ivy joins the OOA after serving as vice president of development at Dean McGee Eye Institute in Oklahoma City since 2008. As part of the executive management team at DMEI, she led its development and external relations activities to increase the level of private support from corporations, foundations, patients, individuals, and resident alumni. She brings extensive experience in management and fundraising to the OOA from her more than 30 years working in nonprofits and higher education, including the Oklahoma Zoological Society, St. Anthony Hospital Foundation, University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and Oklahoma State University.
“I am delighted and honored to be joining such an outstanding, highly respectable organization such as the Oklahoma Osteopathic Association as its new Executive Director,� Ivy said. “I look forward to working with the OOA Board and the staff to continue the strong traditions of the OOA and to leading the organization as it embraces new challenges and opportunities.�
A certified professional fundraising executive, Ivy graduated from OSU with a Bachelor of Science in management before earning her Master of Business Administration also from OSU. In 2011, she was selected as OSU’s Spears School of Business Top 50 Distinguished MBA Alumni.
In 2013, Ivy received the Mike McDonald Outstanding Professional Fundraiser Award presented by the Association of Fundraising Professionals Oklahoma Chapter. She is a member of Rotary Club 29, the Association of Fundraising Professionals, the Oklahoma Planned Giving Council, and the Association of Ophthalmology Development Officers, vice president of A New Leash on Life, and a graduate of Leadership Oklahoma City, Class XXII.
