13 February 2009 - Lady Teviot - 'One day I will ....' - Do you know your Family's History?
Lady Teviot is President of the Federation of the Family History Societies, Vice Chairman of the Friends of the East Sussex and a member of the Council of the British Records Association. Lady Teviot finished by saying that Australia was difficult to search as each State has to be covered separately unlike in the UK and other countries where there was usually one central records registry.

Spring Family History Day 2016

Lady Teviot has been involved with family history research for over 43 years and her company Census Searches Ltd, a professional genealogical research company which undertakes research into family history, probate & media research & featured in the very successful series of Heir Hunters.
Lady Teviot undertakes lecture tours each year in Canada & Australia & was the President of the Federation of Family History Societies from 2001 to 2011. "The Parish Chest" is a valuable source used in conjunction with the parish registers as they help to show how people lived & include the overseers accounts, the highway accounts & settlement & removal orders. "I never thought of that" (a second look at problems). So often over the years people have told Lady Teviot that they have reached a brick wall in their research & sometimes she has been able to make a suggestion or suggested a source which they have not thought of which has supplied the answer. 1.00 - 2.30 Lady Teviot 3.00 - 4.30 Lady Teviot
