KYLE KAYLER, French Hornist began his musical interests as a trumpeter.He studied with the Colorado Philharmonic Orchestra until the age of 11, at which time he began his studies with the french horn.He performed with the All-County Honor Orchestra in Jefferson County, Colorado at the age of 12.Kyle performed throughout his years in high school, and was an active member of the Evergreen Senior High marching band.His studies through these years included music theory and composition.He continued his musical studies while attending Amherst College where he received his BA degree with a major in geology.He was a member of the Amherst College Glee Club, continuing his activities in choral music which had begun earlier while he was a member of the church choir.Kyle pursued his graduate studies in geology at Arizona State University where he received his MS degree in 1978.Kyle works as a geological consultant and land surveyor, and is the owner of Kayler Geoscience and Land Surveying, PLLC.He is a private pilot, and has published a number of papers and articles dealing with geology, land management, and land surveying.Kyle began performing on the french horn again in 1994 after a 23 year break from the instrument.
